My Prayers at CHRISTmas!!

O Holy Night has always been my Grandpa's favorite CHRISTmas song. I remember being asked to sing it at a family CHRISTmas get together one year (by my Grandpa). After that I was asked to sing it almost every year. The hardest year to sing it was the last CHRISTmas get together at my grandparents home. Since his homegoing in 2007, I am always filled with such wonderful memories of him when I hear this song.
I pray that each time you hear the song O Holy Night you will remember the words of the song. Our Savior came on that Holy Night to save us from our sins!!
Joy To The World The Lord Is Come!! Let Earth Receive Her King!! Let Every Heart Prepare Him Room, & Heaven & Nature Sing!!
I pray that your heart will be singing wonderful songs of praise to our King this CHRISTmas!

It will always amaze me that the Creator of the earth, the Master of the Universe came to earth as a helpless child. That He chose to be born in the small town of Bethlehem. That He chose to sleep in a lowly manger where animals had been eating just minutes before His birth. That He did this for me so that I would be able to spend eternity with Him. That He came in this way in order to be the promised Messiah! WOW That just blows me away!!

I pray that you will remember the True meaning of CHRISTmas this year & every year.

May the Lord bless you beyond what your mind can comprehend this CHRISTmas as well as in 2010. May all of your prayers come true in the coming year in the Lord's timing. Remember His time is always perfect!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

My Crazy Dog Duke

Ok, so this may be really crazy to be writing a blog entry about my dog, but he is a hoot & a half!! We got him when he was 7 months old (above) & I knew that he was special from the start. He loves to have his picture taken (below).
Well sometimes he loves to have his picture taken (below)
:-)

But he loves to hang out with his Momma, lay by the door to protect us, or like today he loves to play out in the snow. Everytime I made a snowball he played catch like it was a regular ball. He was hilarious! Then he started to attack the buckets of snow & the snow shovels.

My dog Duke is one of the best dogs in the world & I am so glad that he is part of my family!!!

Christmas update

Merry CHRISTmas!!! I hope that this find you well, safe, warm & preparing to celebrate the wonderful CHRISTmas season. Since I am not able to send out CHRISTmas cards this year, I thought I would send out a CHRISTmas email with a Tilburt Family update. This year has been quite a hectic, strange, interesting, amazing, odd year. Let me try & break it down for each family member.

Daron - In January he had his first of two flares of the year. It effected the left side of his body (hand, arm, leg, foot). He recovered from that one just in time to have a flare up in April that effected his right side. That second flare has taken a lot out of him. But he has been pushing forward trying to not let him bother him. He is slowly realizing what he can & cannot do these days. But with these flares, a lot of blessings have happened. He has gotten a walker, an electric scooter, manual wheelchair & bathroom aids from the VA. We also had a group of amazing guys from our church as well as from his Dad's church come & build a ramp for Daron. We are still eternally grateful to them for this amazing gift!!! With the help of the VA we were able to purchase a brand new minivan - we are waiting to hear from a local company about installing a lift for his scooter. I am thankful to the Lord for all of this help that we have received & that Daron has been able to receive. Please continue to pray for him as he continues to strengthen himself as well as learn to live with what the MS has done this year.

Taylor - WOW! I cannot believe that he has started Kindergarten this year!! He is loving his class, making lots of friends & learning a lot. It has been amazing to sit down with him while he reads a book - it may not be a full book, but he is making wonderful progress. He has grown up a ton this year with all of the changes that our family has experienced. I have attached a copy of his Kindergarten picture so that you can see just how much he has grown. He will be 6 on the 16th & I still cannot believe how fast time has flown by.

As for me, I have just been going with the flow of life. I am still trying to get used to being a full-time caregiver, but I am grateful to the Lord for the strength that He gives me each & everyday. We have totally had our ups & downs this year. We have hit some major roadblocks & obstacles. We have fallen into the ditches of despair & depression at times. We have hit rock bottom. But we have made it through & are coming up the other side of all this. Even though Daron was laid of in April, put on medical leave in June & permanently laid off, not able to work since then; the Lord has provided for us & each of our needs. We will never be able to fully express our gratitude to our church family or to the Lord Himself. Even though we hit a lot of rough spots this year, the Lord has brought us through each one & He is giving us the strength that we need.

Well, I hope that you enjoyed reading about this year in our lives. I hope & pray that the Lord blesses you this CHRISTmas season & in the coming year. May He wrap His loving arms around you & bless you beyond comprehension.
